Upgrade your SMART Board “FIRMWARE,”  not just software.

A common misconception is that one only needs to upgrade to the latest software to have a fully functioning, issue free, device. Many don’t realize that there is something called firmware that is like mini software running in the circuitry of a device. Even my Bluetooth headset has updated firmware that fixes little glitches found after they manufactured the product.

Follow these steps to upgrade the firmware of the SMART Boards in your school. If you don’t see the SMART icon, find “SMART settings” and run it.

And then simply follow the prompts.
