Italian Lesson 1 – Alphabet

Teaching Point: Students will be able to recognize the Italian alphabet and begin learning the pronounciations.

Do Now: Take out your Italian notebook and write down the English alphabet as you know it. Use the capital letters only and write the letters on the left hand side with only one letter per line.

We will go over the alphabet and pronunciation of the letters.

Click this site for help and press the play buttons.

Students will then write the name of each letter next to the actual letter.

Students will then write an example word and definition.

HW: Go to the website above and practice the spelling of the sounds and pronunciations. (There may be a pop quiz.) If you didn’t do it already, copy the chart on the link above into your notebook.
